Alex Madrid
Board Member
Alex Madrid is a Labor Leader with Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters (SWRCC) Business Representative. He started his career with the Carpenters Union in 1975 and has had 44-years with the Carpenters Union. His field experience includes 20 years of bridge construction and 10 years of commercial wood framing. He worked on such high-profile projects such as 91⁄15 Freeway Interchange, 30⁄330 Freeway Interchange, Light Rail in San Diego, and the 5⁄805 Freeway Split.
In 2005, Alex transitioned to enforcing Labor Codes in California and the Southwest Region by monitoring prevailing wage projects for Labor Management. As well as being an SWRCC Business Representative, Alex is also on the Riverside Carpenters Local 951 Executive Board serving as Financial Secretary. His professional accomplishments have been Representing Labor and being part of large local infrastructure projects.
Alex has been married to his wife for 40 years, has 3 adult children (37, 34, 31 years old) and 1 grandson (6 years old). On the weekends, he enjoys family time and staying active by hiking or going to the gym.
